    Block Management on The Beach

    Landmark Apartment Block Management

    Peninsula Management as specialist block management agents, oversees a large and varied portfolio of flats and apartments in the west country, from Bristol, including Somerset, Devon and Cornwall. Director Rupert Hambly introduces Horizon View a fine, prestigious development, standing beside the beach at Westward Ho! North Devon. “This development is a striking, landmark building and the setting is superb, beside a 2.5 km (1.5 miles) sandy beach, popular with families and surfers; it’s very special. Just along the road is Royal North Devon golf course, the oldest in England.

    Our involvement began when the leaseholders undertook a Right To Manage (RTM) exercise, taking control of the management. With 63 apartments this is a large complex modern building where we provide a full block management service, backed our in-house Maintenance Team. Whilst some of the owners are resident, others are owned by people from all over the UK. Furthermore, explained Rupert, many of the apartments are extremely popular holiday homes.  It will come as no surprise that there is never a shortage of volunteers from the Peninsula Management staff to carry out our regular inspections and never a hardship for tradesmen to visit from Peninsula Services, our in-house maintenance team.

    The fabulous beachside location is exceptional, so with this comes exposure to the brutality of the environment so an essential part of our management approach is planned preventative maintenance programme.
